Oman committed to fostering dialogue for stability: Sayyid Badr

Muscat: As the meeting scheduled to be held in Salalah on Monday to discuss regional issues was postponed to a later date, an official statement, the Foreign Minister said that Oman is committed to continuing with dialogues for stability in the region.

"In the interests of consensus the regional meeting set for tomorrow in Salalah has been postponed. We remain committed to fostering dialogue that supports stability and lasting cooperation in our region," said Sayyid Badr al Busaidi, the Foreign Minster.

"It has been decided to postpone the regional meeting, previously scheduled to convene tomorrow, Monday, in the city of Salalah in the Sultanate of Oman, to a later date. The postponement is intended to foster the conditions conducive to a constructive dialogue that would yield sustainable understandings in support of the region's security and stability, and that would fulfil the aspirations of its peoples for cooperation and peace.," the statement said.
